As many of you know, CinemaTorrents was down for a number of days in late December. We had a major problem with our host and had to have the site transferred to another data center. This has now been completely resolved and CinemaTorrents should be back to normal.

We apologize for the downtime and please let us know if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

The latest performance overhaul

We have performed yet another performance overhaul on CinemaTorrents. This round of improvements has made the site much zippier in general. Particularly, you will now notice that searching and browsing the main movie listing is much faster now. As well, overall stability has been improved by having less load on our servers. Enjoy a better CinemaTorrents experience! :)

Torrent download changes

We have made a few changes to the torrent download dialog. Instead of forcing you to wait for an automatic torrent search, you may now immediately find a torrent file yourself manually. For those that like the automatic search, a timer will still count down and perform an automatic search after a few seconds. The best of both worlds!

API Search Updates -- Sorting is now available

Attack Site Warning

One of our advertisers was reportedly distributing malware and has been removed from CinemaTorrents. Google has flagged CT and we have already requested a review to have the warning removed. This should be resolved in the next 24hrs or so. Thanks for your patience.

Downloading problem with IE fixed

Weeee're back!

After approximately 24 hours of downtime, CinemaTorrents is back!

Because of the growing popularity of CinemaTorrents, our servers were having a hard time keeping up. We decided it would be best to take the whole site down and rewrite a few critical parts of CinemaTorrents in order to keep up with demand.

Let us know if you notice any problems.

New API limitations

For API Users, please be aware of our new imposed API limitations. From the API Page: "In order to prevent an unneccessary drain on resources by over-eager or abusive API users, there is a limit of one concurrent request per IP at any given time. Please ensure that you only send a single request at a time or your request will be denied."

Mannnn, we are so excited! After months of work the new CT is here!

We've tried to take almost all of your suggestions into account. Now you can rate movies, rate torrents, leave comments on torrent quality, and there's a way better way to download the actual torrents now (try downloading one, now you can get the torrent directly)!

Hey guys. We've been taking your feedback really seriously.

To be honest, we were shocked to see how many of you want to see comments on all the torrents so that you can review the torrents. We see so many websites that have comments systems that aren't used, so we didn't think it would be that important.

But that's what so cool about you guys, you continue to surprise us! We think it's pretty sweet that comments are important to you, so we're going to try to make that a priority in the new release.
